THE DUKE OF LOVE

As I walked into the room all eyes turned around  And I heard applauses I then lifted my prestigious hat Not too far away was my girl Walking elegantly in her princess' robe I held her hands with gallantry And then I heard everyone say: "Here is the Duke! Here is the Duchess! Here are the unstoppable lovers! Here are the romance bearers! Here are the heads of the State of Love!" As they sang, I started dancing with my duchess as the violinists played our favorite symphony We swung as a crowd surrounded us I then looked at my Duchess' eyes She smiled as my face approached hers She then quickly put her arm around my back As she breathed with tension, she said: " My Duke, my lover Activate me, babe make me feel delighted tonight Squeeze me and make me scream in joy Fill me with your charm Spin me, lead me on, my Duke" After she spoke, I said : " Let me hug you tight, my Duchess I will send you to paradise You and I will rule the State of Love forever Noo

MEN

There is a man crying tonight But he is hidden in the closet He is afraid that he might get mocked He is afraid of showing weakness The next morning, he wakes up strong He goes to work with a sad heart But he wouldn’t dare to show emotion Cause they say: “Oh no! You can’t cry! You are a man, so you can’t cry! Oh no! That is the norm. You’ll get scolded if you break it” There is a man in agony There is an ocean of tears in his heart But he wouldn’t dare say a word He’d rather cope with alcohol He feels the pain deep inside But wouldn’t express his sadness Cause they say: “Oh no! You can’t cry! You are a man, so you can’t cry! Oh no! You know better! This will make you lose your manhood There are billions of men crying tonight But they would not say a word Society tells them to keep silent For, emotion is perceived as weakness There are billions of men shedding tears But they would not say a word Cause they say: “Oh no! you c

VENGEANCE

It wasn't just us, it was never just us It wasn't just us, it was never just the Human We hate , we love We fight , we hug We mock , we compliment We hurt , we heal We blaspheme , we praise It wasn't just us, it was never just us How can it ever be just us ? How can we be evil and good ? How can we be possessed of the light and the darkness? How ? How ? Please how? Cause it wasn't just us , it was never just us If it is not, if it was never Who or what was it ? Some say it is the spiritual realm Some say it is evil versus good Why can't there be good only ? Why can't love reign in our hearts? Why should I believe that humans are evil? I cannot accept that all there is to us is evil If the power of evil mistreats us If the power of good strengthens us I proclaim good for those who live in this world But justice on the ones that inflict us Cause it wasn't just us , it was never just us Vengeance on the evil realm! Nostalgia

Flagellated by the whip of friendship Lost in the dark, found by wrath Disfigured by mental inflictions  Broken and ripped from the inside out Overwhelmed and drowned in tears Here I am the son of Nostalgia I put my head against the wall Ceaseless sighs from my nostrils The frowns erased the beauty of the past I can remember the sweet memories Your smile is stained within my mind My ears are filled with your reverberating voice Under my skin, I can sense the throbbing ache While holding closed fists to endure the pain Alas! the happy child inside is no more Alas! All of this joy was temporary Alas! All of this was gone in one day Where art thou, my sweetest friend? Why have you been hiding in my mind? Will I see you again, my sweetest friend? Maybe never and that is why I am the son of Nostalgia BY JOHN MAYER CHARMANT (THIS POEM MUST NOT BE REPUBLISHED UNDER ANY OTHER SIGNATURE BESIDES THE AUTHOR’S SIGNATURE STATED HEREIN.)

The Geometry of Belief

People pray looking up or down They open and close their eyes They lean on the surface of the floor They kneel facing down They then moved their arms vertically To ask for grace and mercy They also moved their arms horizontally To recite their faults and shout apology They remained positive for the whole sermon So that God could come visit the sanctuary They preach the straight paths So that people may not turn in a curved one They establish asymptotic paths which may not be touched They try to remain consistent to their doctrine They repell any inconsistency which they call sins They focus on the center and origin of their existence which they call God I like the beauty and majesty of divinity I like the geometry of belief BY JOHN MAYER CHARMANT (THIS POEM MUST NOT BE REPUBLISHED UNDER ANY OTHER SIGNATURE BESIDES THE AUTHOR’S SIGNATURE STATED HEREIN.)

Sinister Door

Open the door! Please open the door! I have been knocking I have been screaming But you haven't been answering Open the door! Please open the door! I have been crying But you haven't been listening Should I knock harder? Should I keep showing anger? I know you're in here Please open ,my dear The night is getting darker The voices are getting louder My mind is going astray My heart mourns day by day Open the door! Please Open the door! The monsters are chasing me If you don't open, they'll devour me You can save me I thought you said you loved me Now I'm here at your mercy But you ignore me? Listen to the sound of evil outside I would be safe if I were inside I can hear them running towards me Open the door! Please open the door! " Come in, now. I'm sorry." Thanks for opening the door I knew you loved me " Why are you holding this axe like that ?" It is time that we all understand It is time that you deduct That the true evil was n

THE SECRET NIGHT

Sometimes, no one understands why We can never stay away from each other They are always wondering  But there's something in the night Something that is sacred and intimate The night is filled with secrets That you and I only know The dark room where we meet Is only known by you and I There is no light to make shadows No one to disturb our love We sit on the floor like two children Playing cards while laughing so hard Then when exhaustion falls upon us The night becomes as hot as a furnace The secrets of the night become known When we reveal them to each other When we expose ourselves to each other We then smile like newborns What a night! What a love! The night is filled with our secrets That you and I only know The beautiful smile of your round face The architecture of your body The sound of your voice Those are things that come with the night That is why I love the night BY JOHN MAYER CHARMANT (THIS POEM MUST NOT BE REPUBLISHED UNDER ANY OTHER SIGNATURE BESIDES THE
